Roster

Build the week against a labour budget, with fatigue risks flagged as you go.

Copy last week, apply a template or start a draft, then drag shifts into place. Admins see the cost against the weekly budget; everyone sees fatigue, leave and availability flags before the week is published.

A shift is added on Thursday, the week's labour cost moves against the budget and a fatigue flag appears with its reason.
The problem

A roster that ignores cost and rest is a bill and a risk

A roster built in a spreadsheet does not know what it costs, who is on leave or who finished at midnight and starts again at six. Those find you later as an overspent week or a tired person on the floor. The roster builder prices every shift as you place it and flags what breaks your own rules, so the decision happens before the week is published.

How it works

In four steps

  1. Never start blank

Copy last week, apply a saved template or ask for an auto-filled draft. Everything starts as a draft.

  2. Place and move shifts

Drag a shift to another person or day or open it and change it from the keyboard. Overnight shifts and daylight saving are handled.

  3. See cost and flags as you go

Each shift is priced at the rate in force that day or by the award where one is set up. Fatigue, leave, availability and qualification flags appear on the cell.

  4. Publish when it is right

Publish the week by push or email or silently. Staff never see drafts and publishing again does not notify everyone twice.

Before and after

What changes in the first week

Before
  • A roster in a spreadsheet that knows nothing about cost
  • Rest between shifts checked by memory, if at all
  • Leave and availability found after the roster is out
With LoggerIQ
  • Cost against the budget as each shift is placed
  • A fatigue flag with its reason, before you publish
  • Conflicts on the cell, in the moment you create them
Outcomes

What you get

  • A weekly labour cost against the budget, per shift and per person
  • Fatigue flags for rest between shifts, long days, long weeks and consecutive days
  • Leave, availability and qualification conflicts on the cell
  • A flag you override is kept with the reason, who and when
