A number about a person ends the conversation
A score tells a manager something is off but not what. It also tells the person they have been graded. Virtual HR reads the same check-ins and attendance and says it in words: what the pattern looks like, the counts behind it and a fair first question to ask. Someone who reports blockers most days reads as needing work assigned before anything else.
In four steps
Signals you can count
Check-in answers, clock entries and kudos over the last 45 days. Approved leave and days off are never counted against anyone.
A plain read
One of six labels, such as Needs work assigned or Quiet on check-ins, with up to four lines of evidence. Each line is a count you can check on the check-in record.
A reason to talk
A suggested next step worded as a question, such as asking what is blocking them and whether they have enough to do this week.
Summarise, only when asked
A short written note of two or three sentences, made from the label and the counts. Answer text and names are never sent to write it.
