The problem

Overtime is usually discovered, not decided

A shift that never gets closed looks the same as a long day, and both land on the timesheet as hours somebody has to argue about later. LoggerIQ asks at the moment it matters. The person says whether they are still working, their approver decides whether it keeps the overtime rate, and a shift nobody answers for is closed automatically at the expected end rather than running all night. Extra time that was never approved lapses to the base rate, so an unanswered prompt costs nothing and hides nothing.

How it works

Overtime governance in four steps

Ask at the expected end

The person gets a prompt asking whether they are still working, not a silent running clock.

Route it to an approver

A confirmed answer goes to their supervisor or an admin to decide whether it keeps the overtime rate.

Close what nobody answers

An unanswered prompt clocks the person out at the expected end, so an open shift never runs overnight.

Lapse rather than assume

Extra time that was never approved is paid at the base rate, and an approver can cap what they sign off.
