Clock-in flags

Clock entries that do not add up get a flag with a plain reason.

Clock entries far from site, implying impossible travel, left mid-shift or unverified are flagged with the reason in words. A reviewer clears or escalates each one with a note.

Three clock entries are flagged, each with its plain reason and a reviewer clears one with a note.
The problem

Most clock entries are fine, so reading all of them is a waste

Nobody has time to check every clock entry and a silent flag with no reason just starts an argument. LoggerIQ looks at the last two weeks for the patterns worth a look and writes each one down as a sentence a manager can act on and a person can answer.

How it works

In four steps

  1. Two weeks checked

Each clock entry from the last 14 days is checked for distance from site, travel speed since the previous entry and whether it verified.

  2. Dwell through the shift

For people on the clock, location checks note leaving site, long gaps and coming back just before clocking out.

  3. A reason on every flag

For example: 410 m from Chatswood, more than three times its 120 m boundary.

  4. Cleared or escalated

A reviewer clears or escalates the flag with a note, from Needs you.

Outcomes

What you get

  • Far from site: more than three times the boundary and at least 250 m
  • Impossible travel between two clock entries
  • Left site, presence gaps and returns just before clock out
  • A plain-English reason and a reviewer’s note on every flag
