Import from Deputy or a spreadsheet
Bring sites, people, pay rates, leave balances, rosters and past timesheets across from CSV files.
The import reads CSV files up to 4 MB and 20,000 rows. Save an Excel file as CSV first. Import in this order, because later files look up earlier ones: sites, then people, then anything that names a person.
Open Settings, then Import.
Under What is in the file, choose one of Sites, People, Pay rates, Opening leave balances, Roster (next four weeks), Year-to-date pay or Past timesheets.
Under Where it came from, choose Any spreadsheet (CSV) or Deputy export, then Choose a CSV file.
Check Match columns. Columns are matched by name automatically; change any that are wrong or set one to Not in this file. Set Dates in this file read as to match your file.
Choose Check every row. Fix anything listed under What to fix or let those rows be skipped.
Choose Import. LoggerIQ asks for a code from your authenticator app.
On the last step, choose Send invites to invite imported people or Import another file. If something is wrong, choose Undo this import.
From Deputy
- People: in Deputy, use People, Bulk import and update, Download CSV.
- Past timesheets: use Timesheets, Export, CSV All fields. Only approved timesheets are in that file.
- Roster: use Schedule, Export Schedule, CSV. Open shifts come across as open shifts.
Imported roster shifts arrive as drafts and only shifts from today to four weeks ahead are imported. Past timesheets must be dated before today and are kept read-only. Nobody is billed for an imported person until they accept an invitation.
