Spreadsheets and a payroll bureau compared with LoggerIQ in Bangladesh
Most Bangladeshi employers we speak to keep attendance in spreadsheets or paper registers and send it to a payroll bureau. This page compares that set-up with LoggerIQ against what the Labour Act 2006 asks for.

The honest read
Where that set-up is ahead, where LoggerIQ is and why.
The bureau is good at what it is paid for: turning a month of attendance into wages, deductions and tax while knowing the local banks. LoggerIQ does not replace that today. Payroll is not in our price. We would rather you keep a bureau you trust for payment and tax.
The gaps are in the attendance it is given. Section 102 caps weekly hours at 60 and the average at 56 a week over a year. Section 108 prices overtime at twice basic wage plus dearness allowance rather than gross pay. Section 118 owes a substitute holiday and two days' wages for a festival holiday worked. A spreadsheet tracks those only if somebody builds and maintains the formulas. A bureau only sees the totals it is sent.
LoggerIQ keeps those figures as the month runs, each one citing the section that produced it. It produces the wage register and wage slips an inspector or a buyer's auditor asks to see. The interface is in English, with local formats such as lakh grouping and taka.
What 25 people cost a month
Bureau fees are agreed privately, so we cannot price your current set-up from public figures. LoggerIQ for the same team is below. Your bureau stays on for payment and tax.
Who takes a paid seat at LoggerIQ and who does not:
- Workers: billed. Anyone who clocks in, takes a shift or submits a request is a seat.
- Kiosk-only workers: billed. Someone who only ever clocks in at a shared kiosk still counts, because their hours are kept and paid like everyone else's.
- Managers and admins: billed. People who run rosters and approve hours are seats too.
- Pending invites: free. Someone you have invited or imported costs nothing until they accept and join.
- Leavers: free. When someone leaves, their seat stops. Their records stay, at no charge, for as long as the law asks you to keep them.
- Auditors: free. Read-only access with an end date for your auditor costs nothing.
